Title I Family Compact 2026-2027

Northeast receives Title I funding from the U.S. Department of Education to support students in meeting high academic standards. In compliance with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Northeast has developed a School Title I Family Compact outlining the shared responsibilities of the school, families, and students in supporting student success.

  • Educators/Staff: Provide high-quality instruction aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Career and Technical Education Frameworks, set clear classroom, shop, and school expectations, provide appropriate support, communicate student progress, and maintain a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Parents/Guardians: Ensure regular attendance and punctuality, support assignments and learning activities, encourage a positive attitude toward learning, monitor academic progress, and communicate with the school when questions or concerns arise.
  • Students: Attend school regularly and arrive prepared to learn, complete assignments and responsibilities to the best of their ability, ask for help when needed, respect others, follow classroom, shop, and school expectations, and remain committed to learning and personal growth.
Together, we share responsibility for student achievement and for creating a school culture where every student can thrive.

At your earliest convenience, please review our Family Compact and complete this questionnaire. Your support is greatly appreciated.

For questions, contact Joseph Papagni, Title I Coordinator, at 781-246-0810 ext. 2404 or [email protected].

Schoolwide SEL & Employability Skills Assessment

Northeast is committed to fostering a positive school culture, supporting student well-being, and helping students develop the social-emotional and employability skills they need to succeed in school, the real world, and their future careers.

As part of this work, Northeast utilizes a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to ensure that every student receives appropriate support based on their individual strengths and needs. At Tier 1, all students receive instruction in social-emotional learning (SEL) aligned with the five CASEL competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making, as well as essential employability skills.

During an upcoming first block class, students will complete a brief (5-10 minute) Schoolwide SEL & Employability Skills Assessment. The assessment will help identify student strengths, measure progress, and determine areas where additional instruction or targeted supports may be helpful. Our goal is to prepare every student for success in school, postsecondary education, the workforce, and life beyond high school.

Assessment Dates:
  • Wednesday, September 30: Grades 10 and 12
  • Wednesday, October 7: Grades 9 and 11
If you have any questions or would like to opt your student out of the assessment, please reach out to your student’s counselor.

Unsanctioned use of personal electronic devices during instructional time is prohibited. All learning spaces, including classrooms and shop areas, are equipped with cell phone holders, where students must place their silenced devices upon arrival. Violations, including unauthorized photographing or video recording, may result in disciplinary action. Students are permitted to use their devices during lunch.

Emergency calls by students should be made in an administrative office, and families should contact the Main Office at (781) 246-0810 for individual student needs.
