Students participate in 14 career/technical programs and are scheduled for a STEM experience week during the first fifteen shop weeks of the school year.
Chromebook Distribution and Expectations
Students will be issued a new Chromebook during the first week of school. It’s expected that students come to school each day with a fully charged device. The same Chromebook will be used throughout all their years at Northeast Metro Tech.
Students are expected to take care of the device and report any issues to the Technology Department as soon as possible. Chargers are issued with the Chromebook, and a replacement can be purchased for $15 if lost.
Repair Fees:
We do not charge students for standard wear and tear or accidental damage that occurs in the normal course of use. However, repair costs may be assessed in cases of intentional damage or repeated incidents of damage due to carelessness. These fees will be communicated on a case-by-case basis.
Account Access and Technology Use
During the first week of school, students will also be issued their school Google accounts along with access credentials for all necessary educational software. Expectations for responsible use of the internet, devices, and accounts are outlined in the Student Handbook.
Northeast views transportation as an extension of the school. The student handbook is written to provide guidelines for behavioral and safety expectations. It is to be carefully reviewed so that students and parents/guardians are aware of rules and consequences for infractions.
The bus schedules for the 2025-2026 school year will be posted on the Northeast website in August, 2024.
