Below you will find the Trimester 3 Hybrid Schedule, for March 22, 2021 through April 30, 2021.We are going to begin bringing additional students in for Academics. On Gold Weeks, you will see we will be bringing in Cohort A Grades 9 & 11 on Mondays and Thursdays, and Cohort B Grades 9 & 11 on Tuesdays and Fridays. On Black Weeks, we will be bringing in Cohort A Grades 10 & 12 on Mondays and Thursdays, and Cohort B for Grades 10 & 12 on Tuesdays and Fridays. This academic schedule gets our students in two times each week for in-person learning. Students will still Zoom in for their class the days their cohort is not in-person.
Trimester 3 Hybrid Schedule- March 22, 2021 through April 30
One additional change for Gold Weeks: Sophomores will now come for in-person Shop ONLY on Mondays and Tuesdays, Seniors will come for in-person Shop on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. When we began our Hybrid schedule in December, we made a decision to bring our younger students in-person for Shop 3 days because Freshmen and Sophomores had no hands-on learning in their Shops prior to that time. In order to complete learning hours in specific shops, as well as better prepare our Seniors for their career path following graduation we believe it is necessary for them to have the additional day in Shop.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to do that with our Juniors because the 9th Grade Exploratory program needs the 3 days of in-person skills/hours in order for the students to experience the shops before making decisions about their future. However, for the remaining 6 Exploratory weeks, if a shop has a full remote Exploratory cohort (there are 2 remote cohorts of 9th graders who are in the Remote Academy) scheduled, Juniors will be in-person for all 5 days during that week. This actually started the week of February 1st.
We will be sending out the Hybrid schedule for May in early April. The State is requiring us to give the Math and English MCAS tests to all 10th AND 11th graders this spring. We will be doing that testing in May most likely so are working on how best to do that. We are also required to give the Science MCAS to our 9th graders. That test will be in early June.
