Northeast Metro Tech and Superintendent David DiBarri are pleased to invite prospective students and their families to an in-person open house this week.
The Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 3, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the school, 100 Hemlock St., Wakefield. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, masking is required inside the school building. Attendance is limited to two adults per student visitor.
The Open House is intended for incoming freshmen for the Class of 2026, and students interested in transferring to the district from their home high school.
Northeast Metro Tech serves students from the communities of Chelsea, Malden, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Revere, Saugus, Stoneham, Wakefield, Winchester, Winthrop, and Woburn. The district provides numerous programs in subject areas including automotive repair, automotive technology, carpentry, cosmetology, culinary arts, dental assisting, design and visual communications, drafting and design, early childhood education, electrical, health assisting, HVAC and refrigeration, metal fabrication, plumbing and pipefitting, as well as robotics and automation.
Those attending will participate in guided tours of the school’s comprehensive classrooms and career pathways, see live demonstrations, and speak with instructors and current students to learn more about Northeast Metro Tech’s offerings.
